As a Senior Epidemiologist, you will lead real world data (RWD)-based research projects, offering scientific direction regarding study design, analytic approaches, interpretation of results, and dissemination of findings across a range of disease conditions. The position requires the application of epidemiologic expertise to identify priority variables and outcomes for the study design, assessment of RWD availability of key data elements, and the opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in a variety of innovative retrospective and prospective study designs across the biopharmaceutical product life cycle.
In this position, you will lead discussions with internal and client-facing teams to define research questions and interpret findings. You will provide epidemiology expertise to support the Business Development team in the design of study proposals and work with clients to refine the objectives of new data analytic and product initiatives.
\n What You'll Do at OM1Serve as project lead on research analytic projects or in support of the project lead on larger client-facing projectsAuthor protocols, reports and other study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure quality and completeness of output, and oversee timeline for deliverables associated with analysis and reporting with input and oversight of senior staffApply relevant epidemiological and outcomes research expertise to development of statistical analysis plans and interpretation of analysis outputIndependently generate content and direction for business development proposals with input from senior staffLead the dissemination of research findings by authoring manuscripts and abstracts What Experience You'll BringMaster's degree or PhD in public health, epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics or a relevant scientific field and at least 5 years of relevant experienceAt least 2 years experience working in a client-facing research delivery role (i.e., CRO, health tech / RWD organization)Exceptional knowledge and experience in RWD epidemiology, including facility with claims data, electronic health record data, and other RWD types.Experience with epidemiologic methods for handling RWD (e.g., advanced tools for confounding control, methods for handling missing data, external control arm design) desiredAbility to communicate complex epidemiological concepts and research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports, presentations, and publications.Knowledge of healthcare data elements and common data structures.Outstanding thinking, questioning, and listening skills; attention to detail.
