GARNEY CONSTRUCTION
As a Senior Estimator job in Winter Garden, FL at Garney Construction, you will manage and plan projects through the design phase, including the tracking of documents and building a project plan. The senior estimator will work with their team to ensure efficient and continuous improvements in the estimating process.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Track the labor, material, subcontracts, and equipment related to projects.
Assist in the creation of schedules, scopes of work, hoisting plans, site logistics, means and methods, and constructability to ensure completeness and limit risk.
Provide conceptual estimates, detailed estimates, detailed self-perform work estimates, and cost models.
Effectively pursue necessary leads and opportunities to meet company goals for yearly gross margin.
Track bidding documents to ensure the plan is being developed.
Organize, research, and strategically plan for estimate preparation, pricing, scheduling, and final submission to the customer.
Assist as needed with purchasing and subcontracting of new projects.
Act as the lead estimator on multiple projects at once.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
Estimating experience (5-8 years).
Thorough understanding of bonds, insurance, burden, etc., and how they affect bids and company risk/profit.
Able to review front-end documents and have a basic understanding of contracts.
Experience with proposal types in various stages.
