The CTI Enterprise Analytics Services (EAS) group is actively recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Lead with extensive experience in architecting and operating large scale Hadoop and analytical platforms. The candidate in this role will be responsible for requirements analysis, design, and operationalization of platform services and frameworks. The individual in this role would regularly interact with senior stake holders and decision makers and would be expected to manage large programs in a complex setup.
Responsibilities:
Support all products within functional area, from design to implementation and ongoing performance according to business need.
Provide technical leadership in the design of highly available and complex systems.
Develop and advocate for new solutions to undefined system needs, where out of the box solution may not be available.
Impact the engineering function by contributing to technical direction and strategic decisions.
Ensure products are ready and adhere to global operational standards for ongoing operation and support.
Mentor junior team members and allocate work.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
10-15+ years of relevant experience.
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Hands-on knowledge of Hadoop technologies (HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, etc.), Cloud Platforms like GCP and AWS, AIML, relational and non-relational database systems.
Able to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and drive fit for purpose solutions.
Demonstrated diagnostic skills with proven ability to perform issue root cause analysis, drive solution design, and manage timely rollout.
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Project Management experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
