The Senior Lead Analyst - Stress Testing End-to-End Coverage supports the engagement with specific workstreams and business stakeholders in the end-to-end stress testing process. Develops and strengthens relationships with key stakeholders. Contributes and supports review and challenge of design, processes, and results. Ensures adherence to standards and requirements. Gathers keep inputs and feedback to formulate key drivers and "story tell" stress test results for use with executive management, committees, and board. The job requires a good understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles. In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services is also helpful. Requires understanding of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/ or area of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to influence effectively.
Responsibilities:
Engagement in the workstream and business specific stress testing process, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the firm's requirements and standards are met
Ensures that standards and requirements are met within the forecasting process. Analyses and assesses key drivers of results to formulate "story" for executive management.
Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into relevant stress testing processes and applications
Coordination andinteraction with various stakeholders throughout the firm for purposes of data gathering, narrative input, review and challenge, and Plan approval
Participates in review and challenge relevant finance, risk, and business forecasting processes, methodologies, and results
Recommends focal areas, policies, and plans for covered areas with stakeholders
Partners with the relevant coverage areas to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and / or control.
Frequently involved in a wide range of diverse activities that require strategic vision and analysis. The job is typically required to think beyond the existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas that ultimately affect the business/geographic region or a major segment of it
Assists with regulatory exams, responses to regulatory feedback, execution of corrective actions, and internal audit exams/reviews
Performs other duties and functions as assigned
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in driving results with a strong understanding of the financial services industry
Exceptional communication skills, including well-developed verbal, written and presentation skills. Must be able to quickly create concise, informative narratives for internal and external stakeholders, based on forecast and historical data, that convey a well-developed "story" and advocate for a well-reasoned point of view
Strong ability to influence a wide range of audiences
Previous experience in a Capital Management or Capital Planning-related function, external consulting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) preferred
Strong analytical knowledge to engage with modelers and subject matter experts required
Knowledge of US capital and stress testing related regulation
Strong attention to detail with proven ability to distill complex ideas into simple stories
In depth knowledge of relevant banking products / systems
Broad and comprehensive knowledge of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles
Education:
