Essential Job Functions: Develops strategies and solutions to continuously improve capacity planning/management systems. Ensures that Company order fulfillment processes are operating within corporate guidelines and makes improvements as necessary.Coordinates and manages short- and medium-term capacity management. Evaluates demand within Company and modifies sourcing guidelines for manufacturing/distribution centers in order to balance capacity and inventory. Communicates with distribution centers regularly and provides information regarding capacity.Utilizes database systems and manages information as necessary. Coordinates seasonal capacity and inventory planning for Company.Identifies and implements creative solutions to complex inventory and planning system problems. Creates methods to best utilize material resources and reduce obsolete inventory. Assumes responsibility for coordinating and improving upon all programs currently in place.Identifies supply solutions to meet demand inputs in order to achieve the highest level of customer service at the lowest possible cost.Studies market trends and systems technology related to job. Researches and recommends improvements.Work collaboratively with Forecast Analyst and Various Manufacturing Groups to ensure alignment of Inventory and SKU re-order points with regional and global demand trends.Provide input and recommendations in improving supply chain strategies, policies and practices to achieve Best in Class Supply Chain Service.Work with Forecast Analyst to monitor forecast accuracy and adjust inventory targets, if necessary.Under guidance of Department Head, develop and implement inventory ramp-ups, new product and promotional launches, and inventory depletion plans for obsolete and discontinued products.Develop, maintain and continually improve inventory and service parameters and settings in appropriate ERP systems for all SKUs and Product Families.Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Travels as necessary.Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent. Relevant professional certification desired.Five years progressive experience with inventory, planning, purchasing, or logistics management in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external contacts at various levels.Strong organizational skills in order to establish priorities, identify and set goals, meet deadlines, etc.Demonstrated good problem-solving and negotiation skills in order to perform job duties independently and make decisions that meet company goals and objectives. Must be able to work on assignments that are broad in nature, involving a high degree of originality and ingenuity.Proficiency with tools/equipment related to job (i.e. personal computers, databases, manufacturing systems, etc.).Experience on implementing Centralized Planning Processes across multi-sites.It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they are doing!
