Every Vanderweil Engineers team member brings something unique to the table. Here is what we are looking for with this role:
Some of your responsibilities include the following:
Lead the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex project types including Government, Science & Technology, Academic, Mission Critical and Commercial.
Communicate design intent and coordination requirements to owners, architects, and other team members.
Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications, and construction documents for high performance building systems.
Manage a team throughout all phases of design, assuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice.
Construction phase services including attending meetings, submittal and RFI reviews, and performing site visits.
Essential Skills & Requirements
7+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance facilities.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects
Background in commercial, government, mission critical data centers, or hospitality is a plus.
Professional commitment to sustainability, LEED accreditation is a plus.
