Join the power movement as a Senior Mechanical Engineer This CFS Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for aspects of the design, build, and implementation of advanced R&D equipment and complex machinery.
\n What you'll do:Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary and proven team of top scientists and engineersOwn the design and implementation of key mechanical modules and sub-systemsUnderstand system level requirements and work with the team to drive innovative design concepts to meet these requirementsPresent and participate in design reviews on all aspects of mechanical subsystem designsGenerate and maintain interfaces with other engineering subsystemsReport on and be accountable for project progress to the Head of Superconductor EngineeringGet things done - drive towards project deliverables with speed What we're looking for:Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred7+ years of experience working as a senior mechanical design engineer facing similar design challenges -- for example: design, construction, and operation of industrial, large-scale R&D and manufacturing equipmentThe ability to conceive novel solutions to challenging problemsAn exceptional safety record and attention to detailExpertise with 3D modeling and simulationFamiliarity with complex engineering systems in challenging environmentsStrong analytical and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written abilities Bonus points:Experience with SolidWorksExperience with NXExperience with COMSOL, ANSYS or other FEA toolsFamiliarity in applying Semi-S8, ASME, ACI, ASTM, and other mechanical standards to design solutions Essential Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyPerform activities such as stooping, climbing, standing for extended periods of timeWillingness to travel occasionally or work required nights/weekends/on-callDedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics#LI-Onsite

Salary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
