Senior Medical Technologist, Microbiology - Evenings

Mercy Southwest is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist with strong experience in Microbiology for the evening shift.
This position is responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a biological science required (Equivalency Required for Foreign Education) Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified CLS (ASCP), or Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International)CM, or Cytotechnologist CT (ASCP) Two years of pertinent experience in a high complexity laboratory in the assigned/specified area Principal Accountabilities: Perform and document test results, quality control, and maintenance procedures according to technical policy/procedure Evaluate and maintain technical procedures as appropriate to the department/facility Ensure compliance with regulatory standards associated with governing and accrediting agencies Teach, assess competency, and mentor other laboratory employees and students Demonstrate leadership and promote quality patient care and customer service
