Datadog is embarking on a journey to revolutionize how databases are operated, flipping what is often seen as a black box of complexity prone to security and performance risks, into a well oiled machine that provides not just devops, developers and dbas with insights, but the business with critical insights.


We're looking for an experienced product manager to lead a multifaceted product opportunity and team loaded with ambiguity and technical nuance, to accelerate this mission and this business within Datadog.

What You'll Do: Lead ambitious investments that rethink how customers operate and get value from their databases, diving into ambiguity, working with our customers on new models, and shipping new products and changes to existing products.
Develop a deep understanding of our customers and their issues, what problems are really behind those issues, and how we can improve how databases are operationalized across SRE teams, DBAs and application developers.
Continuously refine your understanding of database management systems and datastores e.g.
AWS RDS, Postgres, SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, etc Define,build and launch the next generation of database monitoring and optimization capabilities for our customers alongside an amazing engineering and design team Join an extremely talented engineering team with a record of groundbreaking innovations like correlation of APM and database telemetry to further the mission of demystifying databases and making optimizations actionable for anyone, using your engineers' ideas, alongside your customers' problems, as a key resource.
Collaborate with other Product teams in Datadog to maintain and improve all Datadog products, improve the seamless integration across them, and help customers identify incidents root cause and navigate through telemetry faster Partner with marketing and cross functional teams including sales, customer success and support teams, to define Go-To-Market plans and strategy for database monitoring, data observability and APM features Who You Are: You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in cloud or developer tools or databases You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to present and defend your ideas to technical stakeholders and executives alike You are customer focused with high quality standards for your products You are passionate to work in a high growth and impact environment to build new products and scaling existing ones Datadog values people from all walks of life.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation.
Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.

$187,000-$240,000 USD
