We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to support our government clients. In this position, you will be working in a small, cross-functional team of technologists to understand and synthesize customer needs, strategize improved service delivery, and define innovative solutions including SaaS and PaaS products for government clients. If you have experience driving the product life cycle from proof of concept to product roadmapping and execution, and have a proven track record of fostering strong relationships between clients and cross-functional teams, we'd love to hear from you.
\n What You'll Do:Partner with stakeholders to translate their vision into a product strategyLead and direct a cross-functional team to deliver iteratively and incrementally against a prioritized roadmap, driving from customer insights to solutions in the marketPartner with researchers and designers to engage users and stakeholders to understand their pain-points, context of use, journeys, workflow, use cases, and business problems, breaking them down into componentsPrioritize the work from concept to delivery and drive toward desired outcomes with evidence-based decisions and attention to detailDeliver solutions that solve problems for end users (desirable), the business (viable), and can be built /configured (feasible) for our client organizations (i.e., "balances the three lenses" of design thinking); this includes getting buy-in from clients on product strategy and roadmapUnderstand opportunities and constraints across the business, technical architecture, and end-user needs; ruthlessly focus capacity on the highest priority solutions, epics, and user storiesProactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs and proactively communicate with internal stakeholders and leadership to ensure operational support for product deliverySet outcomes-driven success metrics and measure the impact of the work to guide future iterations and product decisionsRun efficient scrum ceremoniesEnable continuous product feedback loop based on qualitative and quantitative data from clients, customers, and end-usersCommunicate effectively with clients to ensure continuous alignment of team prioritiesProactively engage with impacted stakeholders across the ecosystem, to ensure the seamless rollout and adoption of new solutionsEngage relevant parties across the government ecosystem to collaboratively problem solve issues that impact our ability to deliver desired outcomes What We're Looking For:8+ years of industry experience in software development and product management managing projects with numerous stakeholders, preferably with PaaS and SaaS product experienceSomeone with a strong product sense—taking a structured approach to understanding and solving problemsClient relationship management and customer success skillsA design thinker and lean product thinker (e.g., hypothesis and experimentation driven approach to MVP definition); delivering using plays from design thinking including research, facilitating workshops, and enabling decision-making with clients An outcome-oriented approach focused on delivering value to end users backed by measurable, data-driven resultsExperience leading projects and aligning stakeholders around goalsExperience turning business requirements and user research findings into clear, succinct epics and user storiesExperience working in cross-functional teams using agile methodologiesThe ability to set expectations, remove blockers, and hold the team accountable to deliver on contractual and client expectationsA desire to seek different perspectives, and ask for help when neededExperience developing products that are accessibleAbility to manage a team through changeNice to have: experience working with the federal government What Isn't Required:Specific Educational Background: Your qualifications matter more than where (or if) you went to school.Open Source Contributions: We're interested in your skills and experience, even if you haven't shared them on GitHub.Big-Name Employers: It's not about having a well-known company on your resume; it's about what you've accomplished. \n$135,000 - $150,000 a year
$135,000-150,000 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers: Tier 1: $135,000— Meets minimum qualification/experience requirements. Beyond onboarding, will need additional guidance and training to perform key responsibilities of the role. Tier 2: $142,000— Experienced and fully-competent. Beyond onboarding, can independently perform key responsibilities of the role. Tier 3: $150,000 — Highly-experienced and can perform all responsibilities of the role at a higher level than expected once onboarding is completed. To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, the posted salary range and corresponding tier salaries are non-negotiable. \nAll MO leaders are expected to lead with humility, embody our core values in their leadership, and to hold their team accountable to the same.
