Overview:
These leaders are responsible for the overall supervision of residential land development projects for conformity to contractual agreements made with clients within budget and on schedule.
In addition to leading a team of engineers and technical professionals, our Senior Project Managers participate in the community with memberships in professional associations.
They are also present in our company events- its the Pape-Dawson Way.
Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a dynamic group of technical professionals - engineers and technicians - to serve our clients wellPrepare proposals and client agreementsDevelop trusting professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leadersBe respectful of client timelines through effective coordination of project tasks, budgets, and schedulesChampion the professional development of each member of a project team according to each members individual goals and career pathLead and actively participate in the design, plan production and permitting for land development projectsParticipate in the development of company design and production standards to continue excellence within our technical expertiseBe open to new ways of accomplishing goalsSeek guidance from other leaders; be open to suggestions in various aspects of project management Give back to our community by actively participating in professional associations and civic organizations Providing leadership in these daily activities, among others, will continue the Pape-Dawson vision of becoming the most respected engineering firm in Texas.
Qualifications:
What qualifications are needed and key to this role?
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil engineering or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (P.E.)
designation in the state of Texas10 years' experience managing substantial projects from conception to completion including estimating costs of technical tasks in residential developmentExtensive knowledge of design and construction practices which, by passing on that knowledge to others, will aid in your successOpen to coaching from leadership team to learn the Pape-Dawson WayProven experience and willingness to identify new opportunities with existing clients as well as having the confidence and ability to develop new client partnershipsProven ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, both oral and written skills, with all level of employees in an organizationProven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leadersOffice hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and we expect work to be completed within those hours to be able to serve each other and our clients.
