Position: Senior Project Manager – Transformational HCM Program

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead the project management efforts for our high-visibility HCM transformation program.
As we transition to a new cloud-based HR system, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, functional and technical leadership, and subject matter experts to ensure successful planning and execution of key project activities.
This role requires a proactive leader who excels at balancing strategic oversight with hands-on project management.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution: Lead and manage large, complex workstreams from initiation to completion.
Own project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, governance frameworks, and quality standards.
Develop comprehensive project plans, manage dependencies, and track progress while navigating potential risks and roadblocks.
Team Management: Collaborate with functional and technical leaders to guide the project team, assigning roles and responsibilities, providing direction, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, sponsors, and external partners.
Manage expectations, resolve issues, and drive decision-making across the project lifecycle.
Governance & Reporting: Establish project governance structures, conduct regular status updates, milestone tracking, and ensure clear, transparent communication across all levels.
Resource & Risk Management: Optimize resource allocation and utilization, and ensure the project is adequately staffed.
Proactively identify risks, create mitigation strategies, and resolve issues using established RAID logs.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring performance, accountability, and effective issue resolution.
Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and encouraging process enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience:
8+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong track record of managing complex, large-scale system implementations.
Demonstrated experience in delivering projects within scope, on time, and on budget.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
Skills:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
Proven experience managing relationships with large third-party implementation partners.
Strong project governance and risk management capabilities.
Ability to work onsite at our Seattle HQ office three days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with HR/HCM system implementations.
Familiarity with Workforce Management systems (e.g., Kronos).
Experience managing both Agile and Waterfall projects.
Ability to run Agile sprints while maintaining visibility on project milestones.
Enterprise software implementation experience.
