Fulton River Partners is working with a client in the electric propulsion space. We're excited to be launching a search for a Senior Quality Engineer to lead a lot of the AS9100D and "from scratch" QMS build out. Incredibly exciting time to be at this company after they just raised Series A and are already a profitable company this early on in their existence.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) that complies with the required industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc) as well as accreditation requirements and business requirements
Train staff on QMS processes and procedures
Contribute to new business opportunities and communicate the impact on the QMS
Monitor and audit product quality and production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
Identify and analyze quality issues and implement corrective action plans
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality issues
Work closely with the team to improve the QMS, while ensuring compliance with customer standards and staying agile in a fast-paced environment
Identify and develop test methods, inspection plans, and quality control procedures
Ensure compliance with export control requirements such as ITAR/EAR, and other relevant regulations and standards
Provide guidance and support to the design and manufacturing engineering teams to address quality concerns and improve product design and manufacturability
Investigate and identify root cause of non-conformances from suppliers, including within products, fabrication processes, and assembly processes
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role in an Aerospace environment
Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Experience with regulatory standards for export controls and handling of government contracts (e.g. ITAR, EAR, etc.)
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
