We have a new and exciting opportunity for a seasoned Remuneration professional to join our Remuneration & Benefits team on a 12-month fixed term basis.
The Senior Remuneration Consultant is responsible for designing, developing and implementing total reward policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with broader business and HR strategies. The position ensures that Western Power's remuneration practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
This highly collaborative role will see you build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business, including external consultants. You will provide expert advice on remuneration-related matters and lead the delivery of key initiatives and projects to support the company in attracting, retaining, and motivating talent across the organisation.
Your Role in Action Partner with the Human Resources Leadership Team and wider business to develop and execute total rewards strategy, initiatives, and projects to ensure required outcomes are delivered.Collaborate with internal colleagues, manage and provide guidance in the effective and efficient administration of remuneration practices, procedures, external benchmarking, and other related processes.Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on complex projects or initiatives, while acting as an escalation point for complex remuneration matters.Conduct in-depth remuneration analysis to identify internal and external trends and compliance improvements.Evaluate positions to enable the review of the complexity and relative contribution of each position throughout the hierarchy to determine classification outcomes.Support the development of Executive and Board submissions as required.Engage and partner with external vendors as needed to conduct market research and on special projects.What Makes You a Great Fit Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, with extensive prior experience within the remuneration / total rewards discipline.Significant or broad remuneration and benefits experience gained within a corporate/in-house remuneration role or within a consulting environment.A demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks and the links between business decisions and their impact on regulatory outcomes.A working knowledge of the industrial relations framework as it applies to the Energy industry.Experience in dealing with complex remuneration matters/initiatives and providing subject matter expert advice and guidance.Sound inter-personal and influencing skills coupled with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.Advanced report writing and demonstrated analytical skills.Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel.By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
