Dandy is hiring a Platform Engineer (Frontend) to join our rapidly scaling technology organization. As a member of Dandy's Platform Engineering team, you will play a key role in the success of our team and company. You'll design and build scalable systems and tooling to support our rapidly growing product engineering function. You'll work to educate teams on frontend best practices, and help us create a delightful engineering experience for product teams.

What You'll Do Develop and maintain infrastructure, systems, and tooling to support Dandy's products in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
Focus on the developer experience and productivity across our frontend applications.
Work with and educate product teams on frontend best practices, including accessibility and testing.
Author and contribute to internal libraries that emphasize intuitive interfaces and composability.
Work with the design team to improve the consistency and usages of our design system.
Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices.
Reinvent an analog experience and disrupt a legacy industry through novel and scalable system design.
Collaborate with Product Engineers and other stakeholders within Engineering, Product and Data to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Advocate for improvements to infrastructure quality, security, and performance.
Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team ("technical debt"), propose and implement solutions. What We're Looking For 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a high growth startup environment.
Expertise in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
Strong familiarity with build tools and package managers (e.g., webpack, esbuild, vite, rsbuild, npm, yarn).
Experience improving, maintaining and debugging frontend infrastructure, from build tools through the CI pipeline and to the CDN.
Experience with infrastructure as code platforms (Terraform, Pulumi).
Experience creating and maintaining automated CI/CD build processes for multiple environments.
A collaborative, pragmatic, and growth-oriented mindset. We are a small but mighty team and everyone must be aligned on our goals.
The ability to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions.
Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems.
Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
Self-motivated, self-managing and takes ownership, with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a remote-first organization. Bonus Points For TypeScript
