Senior Tax Manager

Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a global asset management company who is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to play a key role in their tax U.S. tax provision, financial reporting, and compliance processes.

Responsibilities:

· Calculating the annual tax provision in accordance with ASC 740

· Overseeing the U.S. tax provision workflow

· Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual SEC disclosures, including income tax footnote and other tax disclosures

· Managing portions of the compliance process, working with outsourced external tax preparers

· Overseeing estimates and extension calculations

· Assisting with local returns, estimated tax payment calculations for various jurisdictions

· Supporting other compliance processes, including tax information reporting and withholding as needed

· Responding to federal, state, local, and foreign tax inquiries and audits

Requirements and Skills:

· Bachelor's degree or better in Accounting. MST and CPA highly preferred

· 7+ years of corporate U.S. tax provision and compliance experience, including hands-on preparation of provisions and returns

· Experience with partnerships and/or international tax compliance is a plus

· Team oriented, but also able to work independently

· Ability to mentor and develop junior staff members
