Looking for a Technical Product Manager that's excited to join a small IT team building products for our teams and customers.
Overview:
Founders Table Restaurant Group launched in January 2020 to create, acquire, and cultivate innovative and profitable founder-led restaurant companies.
Founders Table, which currently includes Chopt Creative Salad Co. and Dos Toros Taqueria, leans on digital and operational innovation to drive the growth of industry-leading culinary concepts.
The Technical Product Manager (TPM) will be part of a small team at Founders Table focused on building and maintaining custom systems that help us improve our customers' digital ordering experiences and our restaurant operations.
Specifically, this TPM will be responsible for managing the product roadmap and day-to-day execution of our internal APIs, 3P system integrations, and restaurant-facing systems.
They will play a critical role in planning and defining new features, coordinating with the Engineering team to develop and test those features, and collaborating with the Operations and Marketing teams to successfully take those features to market.
This role requires a mix of technical skills which enable the engineering work, with the communication and management skills to execute successfully across departments.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, a passion for creating delightful user experiences, and excellent organization skills.
Responsibilities
•Manage the day-to-day maintenance and enhancements of existing APIs, integrations, restaurant-facing applications, and other custom systems across the organization
•Support the development of new features across different custom systems via:
o Early stage scoping and definition of business and technical requirements
o Code reviews of in-progress and QA-ready development work
o Pre-launch testing of new features across web and mobile assets
o Post-launch user testing to identify existing pain points and technical bugs
•Act as the liaison between Operations, Marketing, Technology, and external partners to ensure the smooth launch of new digital products and features at the restaurant level
•Partner with Founders Table leadership to develop and manage a Product Roadmap for all key internal APIs, integrations, and custom applications
•Work collaboratively to improve and standardize development processes across a small but growing dev team
Required Qualifications
2+ years of work experience in product management, restaurant technology, digital-focused consulting, or a related field Strong understanding of technical concepts such as client-server model, APIs, webhooks, Git, database basics (SQL, primary keys, etc.
) Comfort reading code, collaborating directly with engineers, and working in a version management system (e.g.
GitHub) Hands on experience with project management tools, such as Trello, GitHub, Monday.com, or Asana Ability to take ownership of projects from planning through execution Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects on tight timelines A desire to collaborate and a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills Excitement to understand and learn an existing and complex system A desire to join an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment at a fast-growing company Love for salads and burritos preferred, but not mandatory
