We are partnering with a leading US company specializing in cutting-edge technology integrating AI, ML, Computer Vision, and IoT devices.
Our client is looking for a Lab Engineer with strong experience in application and performance testing.
In this role, you will lead lab operations, infrastructure design, and be a technical escalation point for teams in remote locations.
You'll manage lab infrastructure, test new software, and ensure smooth operations for federal deployments.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct application and performance testing on hardware, ensuring system stability under load.Manage hardware deployment, including racking, stacking, and understanding hardware components.Work within air-gapped systems for heightened security.Oversee scripting for automation, with a preference for Python.Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to configure the company's platform and optimize performance.Document and communicate technical details effectively to cross-functional teams.Maintain and manage a small lab for physical testing and system performance.Engage with international teams, particularly in the middle East, requiring early morning availability at 6-7 am Required Skills & Experience: Strong experience in performance testing, with the ability to assess system load capacity and optimize performance under heavy traffic.Strong experience with application testing, including running scripts and troubleshooting applications in hardware environments.
We need someone who has done application testing from a testing functionality / performance perspective.Experience with building and implementing systems.Strong knowledge of Linux systems, infrastructure, and networking.Knowledge of hardware, including server deployment, configuration, and optimization.Experience with Kubernetes (building, deploying, and managing containers).Proficiency in a scripting language (Python preferred).Willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms and DevOps tools.Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical details. Other Requirements: Willingness to start work early, between 6-7 AM, to collaborate with international teams.Ability to work on-site in North Dallas once a week (with occasional need to come in up to three times a week).Must be a U.S.
