We are looking for a Smart BuildingsProject Management Intern. This position will be based out of our Detroit area branch located in Plymouth, MI.

Internship Program Start Dates: May 19, June 2 and June 9, 2025.

What you will do as a Siemens Smart InfrastructureProject ManagementIntern

During this 10-week internship program, you will rotate through various departments at the local branch office, focusing on smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure

80% of your time will be spent on project management-related activities (learning how to manage a construction project, on-the-job training, and shadowing, etc.)
10% of your time with be spent with the sales department learning how we go-to-market and sell our solutions and services
10% of your time will be spent in our service department, focusing on the service related tasks needed to deliver world-class service to Siemens customers

You may get experience rotating through our core business segments, which include HVAC, Fire/Life Safety, Security, and Energy/Sustainability Systems

The goal of this internship program is to develop future talent for the Siemens organization and help youidentifywhere you may be interested in pursuing a career at Siemens post-graduation.  

Responsibilitiesworking alongside currentProjectManagers/ Associate Project Manager, you will:

Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents toestablisha project delivery plan

Develop and maintain a project schedule, as well as coordinate needs with the project team, identifying time-sensitive installation needs
Manage the procurement of supplies and materials to complete projects

Participate in project cost reviews

Track labor resources and project progress

Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities

Complete project-specific close-out documentation

Rotate through other departments within the branch office to learn about how our branch organization operates as a whole

Attend virtual executive discussions and events with other interns to develop a sense of what a career at Siemens is all about 

To apply for the Project Management Internship Program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Majors: Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment, Computer Science, Business Administration
Education: Current sophomore or junior undergraduate student pursing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Earliest Graduation Date: August 2025
Availability: Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May-July or June - August)
Relocation: Must be willing and able to work at the location on-site and surrounding local area.  There is no relocation or housing stipend for this program
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship.  This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT.

You'llwin us over by having the following qualifications: 
Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).  Skilled in using Windows laptops and adept at learning new software for programming and troubleshooting automation equipment.
Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers

Demonstrated leadership potential
Strong analytical, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills

Good verbal and written communication skills in English

The hourly pay range for this position is $22- $26per hour, based off of your projected graduation year.The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contributeintoour 401K program.
