Software Development Engineer II Introduction to team Expedia Product & Technology builds innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences for the traveler and our partners that drive loyalty and customer satisfaction.
As a Software Development Engineer II, you`ll join the Universal Shopping team in the Expedia Product & Technology division of Expedia Group. Our team continuously seeks to improve the overall traveler experience on our web and native platforms through feature experimentation and performance optimizations. You will play a critical role in refining the shopping experience and building scalable and resilient solutions for our many travelers.
In this role, you will: Design and implement reliable, high-performant features to improve the shopping experienceImplement holistic solutions to bring consistent experience between platformsConduct thorough code reviews to maintain standards of code quality and scalabilityAdvocate for engineering excellence, exceptional usability, and outstanding qualityWrite automated tests and work across data sources to integrate them into a scalable tech stackExperience and qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in a Technical field; or equivalent related professional experience3+ years' experience in software development or similar roleStrong technical proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
