Position Summary: About The Team: Offer Eligibility and Restriction Service (LIMO)

The Eligibility team provides a comprehensive system to manage and regulate Item and Item-Node eligibilities, as well as Item-Node, Source-Destination restrictions. We consume inbound feeds from Catalog, Node, Compliance, Seller Central, and other sources. These feeds are then processed to derive outbound eligibility attributes, which are utilized by various pre-purchase and post-purchase processing systems. We also provide business rule authoring, simulation of those rules, and application of those rules for the catalog to derive final transactability of items on site.

Our Engineers get challenged building systems that handle billions of events daily. The platform is an event-driven (event sourced) system built largely in Java and designed to run in the cloud (Azure) via a microservice architecture.

What you'll do: Translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing small to large-sized complex projects and coming up with high-level designs. Assists in providing guidance to small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Provide Operational support for the business and production issues and help business & Product teams on data analysis on business solutions implemented. Drives solutions that proactively monitor and alert teams to potential issues before they cause impact to business systems. Participates in the Operational Excellence process to uncover root causes of impacting issues, ensure all issues within the team's focus areas are properly resolved, and changes to processes, systems, coding, or testing are implemented to ensure the same issues do not occur in the future. What you'll bring: Working experience with Agile methodology (Scrum, daily standups, etc.). A minimum of 2 years experience in Java technologies like (Spring Boot, Reactive framework, Maven, Hibernate) (excluding internship). Strong experience in RESTful Microservices and developing applications using Java version 8 or later. Solid understanding of designing, developing, and supporting large scale, cloud-based distributed systems. Exposure to event-based and asynchronous processing. Hands-on experience with Kafka and other messaging services. Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies preferably Azure & GCP. Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, Cassandra, Cosmos). Experience with working with CI/CD (Jenkins/Travis). Experience working with logging and application monitoring stack: Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace. Understands DevOps: how to support large scale distributed systems, how to prioritize and escalate issues. Minimum Qualifications: Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
