What will you do in this role As a Product Engineering Leader at Clasp, you'll spearhead our product development efforts, building innovative solutions that will greatly improve the experience of every member in the health insurance ecosystem. In this role, you'll be responsible for: Building product by collaborating with the founding team to define, architect, and construct our core offering from the ground up. Establishing robust technical foundations that scale with our largest partners' needs and future growth. Driving product direction and team construction as a critical member of the founding product engineering team. Cultivating partner relationships to identify and shape future product needs, informing our roadmap and feature development. Who you are You could be a great fit if you: Possess exceptional engineering skills to build complex systems with elegant design and robust architecture. While these aren't hard requirements, expertise in React (TypeScript) and Django (Python) are added bonuses. Have significant experience in API product development, including design, implementation, and maintenance at scale. Show genuine passion for developer experience and empathy for diverse engineering backgrounds. Collaborate effectively with customers and partners to solve complex problems. Exhibit strong product sense and translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effortlessly. Learn quickly, motivate yourself, and execute rapidly while maintaining high quality standards. Exhibit a profound curiosity for exploring overlooked nuances and niche areas within complex technical and industry domains. Bonus: Enjoy technical writing and sharing knowledge and your work with the broader team and wider community. Bring 3+ years of experience designing and building systems through multiple lifecycles. Value code maintainability, testability, and clarity highly. Communicate excellently, especially with non-technical team members and customers.
