Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an engaging and adaptive classroom atmosphere, implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and collaborating with families and staff to support the diverse needs of our students. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each students unique needs. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to provide comprehensive support for students. Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to accommodate varying learning styles. Provide direct instruction in academic subjects and social skills. Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in special education. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred). Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certificate. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and build strong relationships with students and families. Previous experience working with students with disabilities is a plus.
