We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsWe are currently seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist in our Special Procedures department. You will operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization, as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology (IR) Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status).We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.Interventional Radiology Technologist responsibilities include but are not limited to:Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and performs procedures and care in a caring, compassionate, and respectful mannerPrepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating proceduresAccurately perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routinesAssist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedureObtain high-quality radiographic images and review quality of radiographs to ensure quality standards have been metObtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consentMaintain effective communication with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice as well as with caregiver colleagues to include radiologistsResponsible for rotating call assignmentsWhat qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateState Registered Radiologic TechnicianRegistered Radiographer (ARRT)Associate DegreeHCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is a 237 bed acute care hospital.
