JGS is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join its team. The SLP evaluates, treats, and rehabilitates clients by providing them with necessary therapeutic intervention. The SLP maintains pertinent documentation, carries out appropriate treatment plans, and contributes to discharge planning.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Can:Complete screens (as scheduled)Complete evaluation and accompanying documentation at the time of the evaluationObtain and verify physician orders prior to initiation of evaluationIdentify and secure payer source prior to initiation of evaluationIdentify objective findings and problemsEstablish appropriate short/long term goalsDocument progress in attainment of goals on a timely basisUtilize current body of knowledge, skills, and techniquesInteract with clients/families in an appropriate, safe, and professional mannerDesign adaptive equipment and orthoticsDesign and/or implement home programs as appropriateCommunicate appropriate referrals to team members and/or supervisorsAssist in the development and implementation of new programs/techniques to enhance therapy services (as assigned)Balance and maintain an appropriate caseload to meet company and agency productivity standardsInitiate and follow through with restorative programs as appropriateAttend patient care meetings (as assigned) and actively participateFollow through with discharge planning, including: equipment ordering, family teaching, home safety recommendations, and discharge documentation (as appropriate)Maintain QI documents accurately (as assigned)Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. We Are Looking for Someone Who Is:Master's degree (M.S.) from a four-year college or university; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
