JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Data Analyst provides a center of excellence through project leadership, visual and predictive analytics to both internal and external Supply Chain partners. This role will provide customized, business-focused consulting and supply chain strategy assistance to all Business Units. He/she will develop a strong partnership and collaboration with key stakeholders in order to drive the business through leveraging data and insights. This role analyzes mathematical and statistical models, analyzes the results, and creates recommendations to improve processes, service experience, reducing costs, and solving business problems. This role is responsible for both identification of initiatives/projects and also flawless execution of them. This role serves as the subject matter expert for business systems and is seen as the go to functional resource for the business teams to drive efficiencies and appropriately leverage our system capabilities.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilize data exploration techniques and business tools to turn information into insights and recommend optimal solutions leading to operational efficiency at the lowest cost for our supply chain
Collaborate with leadership team and Supply Chain Operations stakeholders to target analytics opportunities and define deliverable scope
Responsible for developing high-quality and timely deliverables for review/feedback from leadership team. Checks for accuracy and completeness, ensuring appropriate concepts and presentation are represented effectively and consistently
Develops and utilizes analytical methods to understand, evaluate, monitor and or/predict complex operational processes and makes improvement recommendations for Senior Leadership
Leads the development and documentation of tailored analytical approaches and methodologies to create alternatives and recommendations for business challenges
Responsible for creating a continuous improvement process, investigating problems, generating recommendations, and implementing solutions based on the use of analytical tools
Manages large cross-functional projects through completion, including requirements gathering, creation of business requirements documentation, analytics/reporting, the establishment of project plans, project staffing, and cross functional resource planning, financial impact analysis, risk mitigation, and implementation
Manages multiple projects simultaneously and is able to prioritize them in accordance with the challenges of a rapidly changing retail environment
Partner with business to determine information needs and identify system requirements to ensure the use of business applications enhance business decision making
Reviews operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree
3-4 years of related experience
18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Statistics, Mathematics, a related field, or applicable work experience
Excellent project management capabilities to develop multiple project streams and complexity; propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented way
Proficiency is Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point)
Proficiency in computer software programs and databases, MicroStrategy (preferred), Tableau (preferred)
Advanced proficiency in SQL
Advanced analytical acumen and strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking skills
Ability of mine or organize data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, translate data and complex findings into understandable documentation and effectively present findings and recommendations
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and projects
Experience in DBT

(Data Build Tool)
Experience in Snowflake / GCP / MySQL / Tableau, with a heavy emphasis on data cleaning and organization
PREFERRED SKILLS:

Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
Working knowledge of Kmart and Sears proprietary systems
Ability to mediate difference of opinion and facilitate resolution when conflict arise
Demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and current trends
Self-oriented mindset; possess a strong sense of customer focus
Strong interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills
Strong written and communication skills
