Job Description Summary:
The Senior Director, People Business Partner is an enthusiastic and talented People leader who will partner closely with the PayPal Technology leadership team to drive and evolve forward-thinking global talent strategies and services. The Technology Leadership team is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic planning, P&L and day-to-day management of all aspects related to PayPal's Technology stack that powers our internal and external products and services including PayPal and Venmo. You will own the development and implementation of thoughtful engagement with the team and employees to advance one-of-a-kind employee experiences. You will be responsible for supporting the people agenda for multiple senior leaders. You will also be accountable for leading programs at scale, from need identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of our internal customers and operate seamlessly in close partnership with the People Centers of Excellence (Talent & Organizational Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Partner Support teams).

Responsibilities will be strategic and broad: leadership consulting on People matters, people manager coaching & development, performance and talent management, organizational realignment and workforce planning, talent sourcing, hiring & retention strategies, and People program development and implementation. This role will be responsible for helping to strengthen the senior leadership team by providing coaching and guidance to senior leaders to further develop their leadership capability, impact, and capacity.

Operate as the People leader and business partner for Technology group SVPs and VPs to develop and steward a holistic talent plan that supports strong business results

Ability to root-cause issues, match people strategies to business strategies, and deliver global programs that drive results
Ability to analyze complex situations and make clear and strategic recommendations for business leaders and their teams

Deep business and data acumen, collaborative approach, with the executional know-how of building & scaling programs globally through ongoing development, support, and engagement of employees
Provide thought leadership and support on advancing Diversity, Inclusion, Equity & Belonging strategies

Empathetic leader who can coach employees and managers through complex situations and sensitive matters

Qualifications:

10+ years of HR/People business partner client experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth, global organizations.
Experience supporting a global Technology organization or global technical teams is preferred.
Experience in a high profile, strategic HR/People Business Partner role with strong executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence.
Experience in partnering with highly matrixed organizations; specifically, experience in implementing talent strategies to support a start-up growth business.
Significant depth in organizational design & learning, people manager development and coaching, facilitation, and talent management is desired.
Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required, with preference for an advanced degree in HR or Business Administration.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is
$143400 to $285450
