Who You Are You are a motivated Finance or Accounting professional who is passionate about the financial industry. You excel at being detail-oriented and have experience with loan products and financial models in a fast-moving environment. In this role, you will be a self-starter who is skilled in communicating with cross-functional partners who have different backgrounds, levels and experiences. A successful candidate will be able to manage complex workflows that involve multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships across teams.
What You'll Do Help build out and maintain financial forecast modeling to project earnings and cash needs over multiple years for parent company and its subsidiaries.Perform detailed variance analysis evaluating results vs. forecasts, explaining variances attributed to key business drivers, and assisting in month-end financial statements analysis. Support the preparation of standardized reporting packages & board materials.Analyze complex financial information, identify trends/opportunities, and provide recommendations to leadership/management for decision-making.Maintain and monitor new financial structures, analyzing overall economics and forecasted income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.Partner with other members of the Finance department to ensure accurate support for forecast figures are available upon request.Execute continuous process improvement and ad hoc analysis for the organization.What You'll Need 5-10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.Strong quantitative skills, knowledge of financial modeling, and a solid background in lending or financial services.Bachelor's Degree is required, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.Professional certifications such as CFA, MBA, or CPA are preferred.Must have strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Strong command of Microsoft Excel and common database systems; experience with Adaptive Planning Software, Workday, PowerPoint is a plus.Ability to maintain models, identify key financial & non-financial risks, improve processes, and manage data flow.Experience with a 3-statement financial model (income/cash flow/balance sheet).Ability to execute and communicate sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling.Experience in loan-level modeling, credit risk, and data extraction and analysis.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Able to organize, prioritize tasks, and take accountability.Self-motivated and strong work ethic, with an ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.Life at BHG At BHG, we work hard and aren't afraid to take risks.
