You will play an important role in the operation and interact with production staff, cell leaders, and key leadership members of the plant.
Responsibilities:Maintains a safe operating environmentManages production cross-functional teams to meet crucial key performance indicatorsDelegates effectively to accomplish objectives and meet customer requirements of quality, delivery, cost, and inventory performance expectationsWork collaboratively in a cross-functional manufacturing environmentUnderstands and drives sense of urgency in a manufacturing environmentSupports and communicates information effectively between company and employeesHas a mindset focused on safety, quality, productivity, morale, and continuous improvementHolds team accountable regarding business objectives and company policiesManages the success of cleanliness initiatives and its sustainment by identifying and eliminating waste in all phases of the production processesTrains, cross-trains and maintains proficiency records of direct reports. Identifies high performers for the organization and develops succession plans as needed.Reviews, counsels, evaluates, and disciplines employees as necessaryIdentifies and recommends proper staffing levels based on production needs utilizing tools such as capacity analysisMonitors and controls cost of manufacturing, including material usage and overtimeMaintains employee recordsDrives workmanship and handling defects generated in the production floorRecognizes and addresses processing problems. Drives risk management processes.Ensures proper maintenance of equipment and tooling are sustained through TPMManages WIP movement using ERP system (QAD)Ensures proper inventory control and managements to reduce aging WIPUnderstands and applies lean manufacturing and SPC principles and their application in production.Provides production assistance to support groups to resolve critical issuesManages team to drive for on-time execution every dayPrioritize safety and engage in safety related activities.Provide production process analysis and make recommendations on solutions to process improvements to hit the goal.Establish critical internal relationships with supporting systemsEncourage continuous improvement of individuals and team performancePromote people engagement and create an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.Drive operational RCCAs to mitigate causes that impact performance to planEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Technical field5 years minimum of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing environment.Current holder of or willing to acquire a DOD security clearance (required)Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge. Previous experience in Kanban and Materials Markets a plus.Skills and Knowledge:Proficient in Microsoft Excel or equivalent (i.e. PowerBi, Tableau, R, Minitab)Capable to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levelsAnalytical skills to communicate using data and competency in problem-solving.Statistical analysis (i.e. well-versed in graphical representation of data, pivot, Power Bi use, some VBA skills very helpful)Decision making skillsAgile execution and thinkingPresentation skillsAble to work some Saturdays, minor variation in the schedule(s), and additional hours as needed.If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
