This Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing award-winning components of BioIntelliSense's patient monitoring software, called BioDashboard. This software integrates data from various software and hardware interfaces, analyzes them using complex multi-parameter algorithms, and displays the results on its FDA-cleared software interface. We're looking for self-motivated individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset to create compelling, award-winning software systems that will improve the quality of life for patients worldwide. Our tech stack consists of Microsoft .NET 8 for backend API development as well as Blazor (WebAssembly) for front-end. We use the AWS cloud for cloud infrastructure. Our primary datastore is with MongoDB, with Confluent as our streaming platform of choice. \n What you will be doingUsing strong computer science fundamentals, write highly-performant, scalable, and secure software with C# (.NET) for cloud-native deployments to AWS.Instill good engineering culture principles by leading, mentoring, and improving the BioDashboard software team.Contribute to a positive DevOps culture--teach us how to be more efficient and toil less.Achieve good automated unit test coverage, and automate deployments.Develop, Scale, and Maintain the BioDashboard infrastructure to support the expanding customer needs, including:User facing featuresBackend data processing componentsData acquisitionCreate necessary CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and ensure superior reliability of the overall system.Take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.Provide rotational after-hours support as required.Provide technical sales support for BioIntelliSense sales opportunities as needed. What you needBachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.5+ years production software development experience with modern .NET, C#, with web development experience (WebAssembly, WebSockets, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)Production experience working with high-scale SaaS and/or distributed systems built for the cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS) and Infrastructure deployment with TerraForm.Solid database experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar.Strong communication and relationship building skills with team members and customers.Experience in horizontal and vertical scaling of cloud-based systems.Ability to collaborate with customers in both pre-sales and post-sales environments.Ability to self-manage and complete projects in a timely manner.Background in Healthcare Information TechnologyUnderstanding of HIPAA requirements and compliance.Knowledge of medical technology industry tools and standards: Web services, APIs, HL7 and FHIR.Experience with Epic, Cerner, and similar EHR systems.Experience with EMR system level messages (HL7, FHIR, etc.)Experience with providing healthcare related integration support and maintenance.
