This position is located at our new office, 50 Fremont Street, in San Francisco.
About the Job: The Domestic Violence Attorney will provide representation as well as brief advice and consults to survivors of domestic violence in their family law matters before the San Francisco Unified Family Court.

Provide full-scope representation, limited scope representation, and consults to survivors of DV in their family law matters.Staff monthly legal clinics, providing brief family law services, at a local community-based organization. Work closely with JDC supervising attorney and other project staff attorneys.Work closely with JDC staff on on-going reassessment and adjustment of project design and delivery of services.Education Requirements: J.D. is requiredLicensed member of the California State Bar in good standingExperience: Three years minimum family law litigation experienceExperience working with survivors of trauma and/or low-income communities preferredExperience working with deaf, blind, and other persons with physical disabilities preferredPrerequisite Skills and Requirements: Excellent oral, written, and client service skillsFluency in English and Spanish requiredAble to effectively interact with low-income clients, judges and court staff, co-workers, and staff at other nonprofits Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Equal Opportunity Employer: JDC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
