Building, testing and maintaining threat detection controls for the Aurora Driver & enterpriseBuilding, operating and maintaining a mature Security Operations programLeading investigations of cybersecurity events.We are searching for an experienced Security Operations Engineer with strong experience in building and managing a Security Operations program, preferably for the autonomous vehicle platform. Job level is negotiable based on experience.
In this role, you will: Monitor, investigate and respond to security threats across Aurora systems and networksContinuously improve cybersecurity response operationsDevelop Security Operations learning and development materialsGrow the presence and thought leadership of Security OperationsDefine, implement and track Security Operations KPIsParticipate in on-call rotation for incident response and escalationsPrepare and present Security Operations vision and strategy for Security leadershipRequired Qualifications: Experience building a mature Security Operations programExperience with cybersecurity incident response investigations and managementExperience triaging and investigating cybersecurity alertsExperience with SIEM, EDR and log analysisExperience developing tools to optimize and automate response processesExceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to communicate clearly with all leadership levelsDesirable Qualifications: Experience aligning Security Operations with industry standards including NIST / SOC2 / ISOExperience conducting training and mentoring for Security Operations and Incident ResponseFamiliarity with Cloud Security (AWS) and infrastructure-as-codeMetrics/Data Analytics experienceThe base salary range for this position is $220k-$352K per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
