Stock Specialist

My well known NYC based fine arts client is looking for a STOCK SPECIALIST to work PART TIME ONSITE (21-28 hours a week, must have weekend and night availability and be flexible) in their museum gift shop - really exciting opportunity and MUST have experience working retail for a museum, history or fine arts establishment, or luxury fashion brand!
Role can pay $25/hr with some membership selling bonus incentives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Manage the stock room and all product shipments for the museums numerous gift shopsResponsible for all inventory and shipmentsStock the shelves of all museum stores and interact with customers while on the floorWhen on the floor restocking: greet or acknowledge all customers entering the shop, approaching sales location, or on the phone.
Learns customer's shopping purpose REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of relevant work experiencePrevious experience working with stock, inventory, and replenishing shelves of very fast paced storesSales oriented and can handle customer service as needed Outgoing, good interpersonal and communication skills requiredAbility to learn requirements of the job such as register functions, product information, museum collections and relatedness, location of merchandise, etc.Knowledge of art history, museums, and NYC cultural institutionsEnjoys working in a fast paced, high-volume environment COMPENSATION RANGE: Pay Rate: $25/hour
