Job Summary

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) has an exciting opportunity on the Disability Resources & Services (DRS) team for a Student Services Analyst.
This position coordinates, administers and implements the DRS programs and services.
This position performs a professional level of student services work that requires independent evaluation and analysis of student access issues; and, possesses the judgment and experience needed to select and apply technical policies, procedures and criteria to resolve problems and make recommendations.


Essential Functions

65% Caseload Management - Coordinates and performs challenging and highly technical professional-level DRS advising to a diverse caseload of students; conducts individual assessments to determine appropriate accommodations and services for students with disabilities that meets all applicable federal and local laws/regulations and college policies; evaluates documentation including medical records, educational assessments, IEPs, and provider letters; ensures students receive eligibility for accommodations in a timely manner; maintains daily case notes and technical and confidential records in various informational and reporting systems such as DRS Connect; provides on-going support and communication to students and other stakeholders about accommodations; provides holistic individualized education solutions through appropriate referrals and collaborations with related campus supports and external resources; supports students in accessing and using assistive technologies and auxiliary aids; advises supervisor in a timely manner about implementation conflicts and accessibility concerns.


25% Program Administration - Performs DRS program coordination and administration including operational planning and evaluation aligned with department and college priorities; compiles, maintains, and analyzes DRS data to gauge program effectiveness; provides problem-resolution and technical assistance; assists faculty and other campus staff in implementing accommodations i.e.
testing, interpreting, captioning, note taking, etc.
; researches program opportunities, industry standards, trends, best practices and makes recommendations to supervisor for implementation; manages, plans and coordinates accommodation vendor services; works closely with supervisor to determine and execute department purchasing priorities and needs according to department budget and MCCCD requirements.


10% - Coordinates and attends DRS program outreach and recruitment activities; provides individual and group training on DRS resources, policies, and procedures to students, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders; designs, develops, maintains and delivers DRS program resource information, presentations, and promotional materials.
May serve as lead worker, assigning and monitoring the work of others, or may supervise non-exempt staff; and performs other duties as assigned and/or special projects commensurate to the grade level of the position.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of full-time equivalent student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.ORAssociate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and four (4) years of full-time equivalent student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.An equivalent combination of education and/or directly related work experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.Desired Qualifications

A.
Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.


B.
Three (3) or more years' experience coordinating services for students with disabilities, providing disability advising, access and support plans, and/or determining reasonable accommodations to a diverse population of students in an inclusive post-secondary setting.


C.
Two (2) or more years of experience reviewing documentation regarding an individual's physical and/or mental condition including psychological assessments, education records, medical records, etc.


D.
Two (2) or more years of experience using confidential database software such as Accessible Information Management System (AIMS) and online systems such as Google Suite, CRM, Student Information System, Canvas, etc.


E.
One (1) or more years of experience using, or training others in the use of, adaptive software (text-to-speech software, magnification software, etc).


F.
One (1) or more years of experience developing professional public presentation/training materials and presenting to a diverse population of stakeholders in a variety of environments (in person, online, webinars, etc.)


G.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
