Here are Job Details: Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Goodyear, AZ (Onsite) Job Description: The Supplier Quality Engineer leads and/or supports qualification audits, surveillance audits, production part approval process, early production containment, corrective actions, and receiving inspection activities. Develops and implements procedures and systems necessary to promote effective inspection processes. Works with various manufacturing locations and suppliers to facilitate supplier investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities Develops and implements procedures and systems necessary to promote continuous improvement of product and to support organizational objectives. Works with various business unit teams, manufacturing sites, and suppliers to facilitate problem solving, supplier corrective action, evaluation, development, and communication of quality improvement plans and metrics. Analyzes information and data to create, maintain, and effectively present findings and corrective measures to stakeholders. Creates and maintain databases and product lifecycle management workflows to promote new product development and maintain existing product. Reviews and assesses Supplier Production Part Approval Process Submissions including Dimensional Layouts, Material Certifications, Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Process Capability and Gage Studies. Leads quality problem-solving process for supplier related issues. Performs Supplier Qualification and Surveillance Audits with Cross-Functional Teams and Suppliers. Participates in Design and Contract Reviews for Supplied parts and Components. Manages Projects pertaining to Quality System Infrastructure and New Product Development. Supports UL, TUV, CSA and International Agency Compliance Audits. Supervises Quality Technicians. Desired Skills and Experience Experience Knowledge and use of root cause analysis and quality improvement tools: i.e., histograms, pareto charts, run charts, 5-whys, and cause & effect diagrams. Experience working with a wide variety of supplied materials, parts, and assemblies. Knowledge and proficiency working with computers including Microsoft Office, Databases, XA, PowerLink, Agile and other manufacturing databases/applications Excellent facilitation and communication skills Ability to provide clear leadership in assigned projects and provide completed work in a timely manner Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings including GD&T Knowledge of measurement techniques including Metrology, Inspection Methods, Tools and Equipment 5 years: Experience working in a manufacturing environment with 3 years' experience in Supplier Quality Engineering Experience with the manufacturing of consumer goods. American Society for Quality - Certified Quality Engineer and/or Certified Quality Auditor Knowledge of quality processes/procedures and experienced in 6-Sigma-Lean (including Advanced Statistics, Design of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping) Education Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
