TA Sourcing Specialist Part-time contract-to-hire role MatX is on a mission to make the world's best AI models run as efficiently as possible, bringing the world years ahead in AI quality and availability. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition specialist with a strong understanding of the AI and Hardware industries, roles, competitive landscape and trends to execute on the initial stages of our hiring pipeline and ensure MatX's continued growth. This role will focus on candidate screening, resume review, and ensuring a positive experience for all applicants. We are seeking someone who has worked in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can work with a variety of stakeholders to scale teams across multiple departments. This position is ideal for someone who can pick up new systems and processes quickly, has an eye for detail, a willingness to understand new technologies and a strong customer experience orientation (with respect to both internal hiring team members and candidates). This specialist will make a direct impact on company growth, and will play an integral role in maintaining and building our hiring process and building an engaged employee team moving forward. Responsibilities include: Screen, evaluate, and prioritize incoming resumes and applications against job requirements to identify qualified candidates Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit Understand and contribute to the management of our applicant tracking system Develop and maintain talent pools for future opportunities through proactive sourcing and relationship building Partner closely with hiring managers and the Operations team to understand position requirements and refine job descriptions Navigate rapid changes in hiring needs and priorities typical of a startup environment Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline metrics and candidate progress Work with our Operations team to build recruitment processes that can scale with company growth Represent the company at career fairs and recruitment events Maintain communication with candidates throughout the initial hiring stages Preferred background: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, HR or other related fields or relevant work experience with development of necessary skills 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment in the tech industry Previous experience working in startups or fast-paced, high-growth environments Proven track record of successful candidate screening and evaluation Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools; particularly Greenhouse Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Experience with recruitment metrics and reporting As part of our dedication to the diversity of our team and our focus on creating an inviting and inclusive work experience, MatX is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital/domestic partner status, military and veteran status, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
