TELEWORK

This position offers an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule within the state of Texas based on business needs.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?

This program is designed to collect a pool of candidates.
It will be used to fill multiple, open positions across different cities in Texas.
It will remain open until filled.


Hiring managers will request candidates with specific work experience and geographic preferences.
Candidates who match the specification will receive an email inviting them to schedule an interview with the hiring manager.
Once interviews are complete, the hiring manager will make a final selection.
Interviews take place on a first-come, first-served basis.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Respond to Public Information Requests (PIRs), track progress of assigned PIRs and take action to resolve issues.
Prepare and/or proofread correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports.
Purchase equipment/supplies and coordinate travel.
Process incoming and outgoing mail, provide customer service, and answer multi-line phone systems.
Comfortable with using Microsoft Word, Excel and other database/software systems.
Develop and maintain databases, record keeping and filing systems.
Scan, fax and operate standard office equipment. Perform staffing functions related to recruitment, processing new and separating employees, etc.
Conduct audits and make recommendations for process improvement.
Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Classification Minimum Qualifications Salary

Administrative Assistant III

High school diploma or its equivalent plus one year of full-time experience providing administrative and/or clerical support in an office setting.

Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each 6 months of the required experience.

$3,392.00 monthly

Administrative Assistant IV

High school diploma or its equivalent plus 3 years of full-time experience providing administrative support in an office setting.

Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each 6 months of the required experience.

OR

Two years of full-time TCEQ experience as an Administrative Assistant III.

$3,741.00 monthly

Administrative Assistant V

High school diploma or its equivalent plus 5 years of full-time experience providing administrative support in an office setting.

Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each six months of the required experience with a maximum substitution of 4 years.

OR

Two years as an Administrative Assistant IV at TCEQ.


$4,137.00 monthly
