Empower Young Minds: Teacher for the Visually Impaired (2 Positions) - Wells Branch, TX Area (Soliant Education) Are you a dedicated and passionate educator seeking a unique opportunity to empower students with visual impairments? Do you thrive in a one-on-one setting and enjoy fostering independence and a love of learning? Soliant Education is seeking two Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVIs) to join our team in the Wells Branch, TX area! This is an ASAP interview opportunity for the 24/25 School year! In this full-time, in-person role, you will play a vital role in supporting and educating two individual students with visual impairments. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' unique needs and learning styles. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) specifically designed for each student, incorporating Braille, assistive technology, and other specialized instructional strategies. Provide direct, one-on-one instruction in various academic subjects, including reading, writing, math, and science, adapted for students with visual impairments. Teach students essential life skills, such as orientation and mobility, independent living skills, and social communication. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, families, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting student success in the classroom and beyond. Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to instruction and IEPs as needed to optimize learning outcomes. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in visual impairment education. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates each student's individuality and potential. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or a related field. Valid Texas Teaching Certification in Visual Impairment. Experience working with students with visual impairments (preferred). Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and specialized instructional strategies for students with visual impairments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to create engaging and individualized learning experiences for each student.
