JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Troubleshooting and Repairing of Entertainment Show Control Systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine inspections and preventative measures, (files and show systems equipment checks & testing, archiving & backing up show files), installation and maintenance, (software updates & calibration or replacement of Show Control components as needed), on Technical Entertainment Show Control Systems including but not limited to: Medialon, Q-SYS, Arduino, Raspberry PI and Networked systems, (audio, lighting, video).
Troubleshoot system failures and provide immediate and long-term corrective actions that will improve operation reliability and Safety. Involves researching solutions for defective components and instructional information to complete the repair process when required. This entails logical extensive troubleshooting, referencing of technical drawings/manuals and specifications, and tracking history of past failures and solutions.
Provide data entry into a logged tracking system, (inspections, corrective actions and/or repairs made while listing parts required implementing the repairs.
Utilize company resources to stay current on current equipment use in entertainment Show Control systems to maintain a high show quality.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Performing routine inspections, troubleshooting and repair on Technical Entertainment Show Control Systems. Inspections include testing, replacement, verification and/or calibration of applicable components and quality control.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required.
Technical school is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years' experience in the entertainment show control field.
Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Must possess knowledge of show control theory as well as practical training and experience
Should have advanced knowledge in the set-up and ongoing maintenance of A/V & Entertainment systems.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Knowledge of Medialon, Q-SYS, Arduino and Raspberry PI Programming.
Computer experience with basic knowledge of MS, MSWord, MS Excel a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced knowledge in the set-up and ongoing maintenance of A/V & Entertainment systems.
Certificates and factory training desired.
Knowledge of computer networking.
