With the Medtronic Mission as our North Star, we will build on our legacy of proven surgical solutions and advance the promise of robotics and digital solutions for the benefit of the customers and patients we serve. Makeyourimpact by exploring a career with the world's leading Medical Device company, striving "to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life." A Day in The LifeThe Technical Product Owner – Robotic (Endeffector) Behavior covers a critical role in the organization by being the hub connecting the product-centered view, the abstract architecture and requirements view, with the implementation-driven view of the multidisciplinary design teams.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:·Create and maintain parts of the detailed technical roadmap and propose development programs to the business by gathering and consolidating scope, priorities, demands and resource needs·Establish a product / solution focused technical view around multiple running programs (from early-stage exploration via new product development to released product engineering) and be accountable for the technical solution and implementation plan as part of project scoping·Strive for feasible trade offs coordinating between multidisciplinary teams (different fields of engineering) to achieve an efficient, reliable, safe, and successful design as well as consistent and comprehensive technical implementation by assuring that gaps, conflicts, and incompatibilities are resolved early in the design process·Closely collaborate within counterparts (Technical Product Owners, development teams) within own group as well as equivalent roles in other Centers of Excellence including Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, and Surgical InstrumentationFurther the Technical Product Owner – Robotic (Endeffector) Behavior may·Act as a Core Team Member during development programs speaking for the wider Robotics Center of Excellence Team·Contribute to development processes, workflows, and toolchains with a clear focus on efficiency and multidisciplinary collaboration·Contribute to scoping of Research & Technology programsMust Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree requiredMinimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experienceNice to Have·Strong technical background in Controls Engineering, or related field·Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 8 years of relevant experience·Team Player and experienced in leading multidisciplinary development·Excellent communication skills for translating between product, architecture, and implementation domains·Fluency in English·Experience in healthcare industry and complex capital medical devices including software and hardware (e.g. Medical Robotics, Surgical Robotics)·Experience working with multiple teams on concurrent, interdependent projects·Prior work experience in system-level product development, full-lifecycle engineering programs and development of product development processes, especially complex electromechanical systems·Demonstrated understanding of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, documentation, rigorous verification, etc.), engineering verification test development and execution·Knowledge of relevant technologies / tools including:·Mechatronics / Robotics, preferably robot controls·Mechanical and electrical interfaces, software-controlled systems·MBSE·Understanding of system reliability testing, service support and/or design for manufacturing·Capability to process and trend data to drive decision making and prioritization·Understanding of clinical environments and the use of medical devices incl. regulatory aspectsAbout MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
