Purpose Statement: The Technical Director champions the use of technology at Northland by aligning technology with our worship and other environments, ensuring seamless communication, and enhancing the overall experience for our staff and church community.
Accountability: Is served and led by the Executive Pastor.
Responsibilities: Leads the Tech Team - Recruits, trains and schedules a team to serve Worship Services and special events.Collaborates with other ministry departments (Students and Children's ministry) with training volunteers for their Large Group environments. Collaborate with the Worship Leader to strategically design and produce compelling weekend services, and special events.Assume the role of Producer during rehearsals and live productions, resolving technical issues promptly and minimizing negative impacts on services and events (Audio/Visual/Lights).Media Management and Production - Work with the Production Team to document service elements in Planning Center Online, serving as the central hub for all associated media.Coordinate and assemble all technical elements for weekend services and special events including stage plots, lighting cues, and graphics. ie. weddings, funerals, retreats, etc... Manage copyrights, licenses, and permissions for software, songs, videos, and visual elements.Develop and adhere to a budget for the church's technological needs.Serve as a technological adviser to the church's senior leadership and other ministry teams throughout the congregation.Perform other duties as assigned.
