Overview:
This position is responsible for providing design support to engineers for site/commercial and residential land development projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and/or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects Utilize basic AutoCAD functions in daily work Understand and learn entry-level Civil 3D functions and complete construction documents Ability to follow and implement Pape-Dawson QA/QC and agency checklists into construction documents Coordinate and communicate with project team in engineering, production, design and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines Understand and use established company standards for drafting Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work when needed Maintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team members Flexible in work assignments and team assignments Qualifications: Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design / Associates degree in technology with a civil specialization, is preferred yet not required Working knowledge in AutoCAD, preferably with Civil 3D- 2019 or current version Detail oriented with high level of accuracy Effective communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime #LI-JR1 All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
