This role is Temporary 2 week role only. July 8th -July 18th
Alternative Work Week: BioFilm works an alternative work schedule of four 9.5-hour days. You will be likely assigned to one of the following schedules, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm -or- 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, with one hour for lunch.
5 Key Roles of Accountability
Pulling orders with the use of RF scanners while maintaining bin and inventory accuracy with real time transactions
Loading verified outbound shipments and unloading incoming receipts to be staged for quality inspection.
Conducting daily cycle counts.
Put-away Quality (QC) approved raw material and finish goods to their correct storage zone/location.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and inventory accuracy.
Purpose of Position
Performs receiving, shipping and warehousing. Examines all incoming and outgoing materials to verify completeness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other documentation. Maintains records of goods shipped and received.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, manager and the public.
Work as part of the team and collaborate with co-workers and colleagues.
Responsible for reading, understanding and following Quality Business Systems documentation for each function performed.
Responsible for working in compliance with Quality System Regulations (QSR), safety and all other training.
Receiving
Receives incoming materials or equipment. Examines contents to verify against packing list or bill of lading, inspects for obvious damage following established procedure.
Unloads trucks while using lifting equipment and proper lifting techniques.
Completes all documentation, MRP entries, and processing regarding goods received, noting shortages, damage and exceptions. Maintains all necessary files.
Ensures the organization of Quarantine Areas.
Performs and adheres to the finished goods returns (RMA) process.
Responsible for pickup of materials locally when needed.
Shipping
Ship outbound orders with the use of RF Scanners. This requires full understanding of the scanner's shipping function "Shipment Pick", completing shipment documentation, loading trucks, and other necessary duties.
Material Handling
Provides back-up to the Material Handler position when needed. This involves pulling and kitting material for production with the use of RF Scanners (Production Pick Function), staging materials, material returns put-away and other necessary duties as outlined in the Material Handler job description.
Inventory
Provides Daily Counts with the use of RF Scanners. This involves monitoring inventory, maintaining bin accuracy with real time transactions, and transactional disciples.
Safety
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
Responsible for utilizing proper lifting and material movement techniques at all times.
Responsible for reporting all work related injuries to the Warehouse Manager and/or Human Resources.
Process Improvements
Adheres to and supports BioFilm's Corporate Policies and Procedures.
Actively works to improve processes in the company and its relationship to the community.
Performs all other related job duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Supervision Received
Works within established guidelines and with close supervision from the Warehouse Manager.
Leadership responsibilities
This position does not directly supervise other employees and therefore does not have authority or responsibility for performing the supervisory functions of hiring, evaluating, disciplining, terminating or approving employee transactions.
Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
1-2 years general warehousing experience.
Shipping and/or Receiving experience.
Forklift experience required.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
Judgment/Reasoning Ability
Able to recognize and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment and diplomacy.
