Tool Crib Attendant (5Am - 1:30Pm)

Job Summary Performs duties to support assigned department by replenishing stocks as needed.
Job Duties Collect, store and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, measuring devices and other equipment as needed Press tools out for cart disassembly Replace tools when needed by priority to limit operator and machine downtime Enter tooling substitutes and calculated modifications to Pick List and advise operators on following shifts of changes Deliver Tool Pick list requisitions to Tool Crib for distribution Pull tools from Tool Crib to replenish tool trays at the start of shift and monitor inventory of operating tools notifying Lead of consumption Maintain records of withdrawals and returns of tooling Locate missing or misplaced tools Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education Perform work under direct supervision Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter, including knowledge about tooling Competencies/ Skills Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow written and verbal directions Intermediate verbal and written communication skills Self-starter Organizational skills Self-motivated team player Ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to use hydraulic press, pedestal grinder, drill press, lathe, surface grinder, hand grinder, calipers, micrometers, power cutter and basic hand tools
