Total Rewards Specialist
Bayer is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Total Rewards Specialist to join our North American HR Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of leave of absence processes, particularly in overseeing third-party administration and adjudication, while also contributing to the overall enhancement of our Total Rewards programs. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of operational expertise, coaching ability, and a passion for process improvement.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Total Rewards Specialist, are to:
Leave of Absence Management:
Provide daily operational expertise in managing employee leave of absence requests and processes;
Oversee third-party administration and adjudication of the LOA process to ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies;
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to leave management.
Coaching and Development:
Mentor and coach team members on Total Rewards processes and best practices;
Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team performance and knowledge sharing.
Process Improvement Initiatives:
Identify and initiate process improvements within the Total Rewards function;
Lead and execute projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of Total Rewards programs;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions.
Flexibility Across Total Rewards Areas:
Support various Total Rewards areas, including compensation, health and welfare, and retirement plans, as needed;
Assist in the administration and communication of Total Rewards offerings to ensure employee understanding and engagement.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
Expertise in managing third-party administration and adjudication of the LOA process;
Demonstrated experience in at least one other functional area within Total Rewards operations (e.g., compensation, benefits, retirement plans);
Expertise with leave of absence laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA);
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Total Rewards, HR operations, or a related area;
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or Total Rewards (e.g., CCP) is a plus.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is preferred.
