The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking an experienced professional with a passion and commitment to transforming lives and creating just communities. This position will function primarily within the Violence Intervention & Prevention Department, focusing on domestic violence and sexual assault training and education. Position Details: Hours: Monday -Friday 8am to 4pm This position requires flexibility in scheduling hours worked to accommodate evening and weekend programming requests and evening volunteer training. Salary: $20-$21.53/hr. depending on experience Responsibilities: Creating a continuous organizational learning environmentConducting standardized domestic violence/sexual assault advocate training and shadowing program in alignment with program standards and requirementsMaintaining the standards of an organization's talent by providing comprehensive training at the start of employment and as needed throughout employmentWorking closely with company executives and department heads to determine areas for employee training improvementCoordinating and managing the volunteer program including ensuring compliance with volunteer standards and providing new volunteer training and continuing education opportunitiesDelivering programs that aim to educate or inform members of the community including local businesses, organizations, and schoolsProviding community outreach to educate and inform the community of services availableDevelop relationships with community stakeholders to promote and expand community education programsCollecting, recording, and reporting data on training and education activities and outcomesCreating and maintaining an educational curriculum inventory and librarySuccessful applicants must be able to demonstrate: Advanced written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presentation skills and knowledge of adult learning techniquesHighly developed interpersonal skillsSuccessful history of building and maintaining collaborationsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsProficient use of Microsoft software applicationsFlexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the community (non-standard working hours will be required at times)Position requirements: Associates Degree in Communications, Human Services or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred2+ years experience providing education or training programsPersonal, reliable transportation and valid driver's licenseAbility to obtain child abuse, criminal and FBI clearancesOur Awesome Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, & Vision InsuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceRetirement plan11 Paid Holidays
