The position is based in Plano, TX .

At Tetra Tech, we are searching for an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation team full-time.
As an EIT, you will be involved with the design of local roadways, highways, multi-use paths and traffic control systems, and will work with our team of recognized industry experts.


Your Role: Design of highway, arterial and local roadway improvements.
Design of public infrastructure components such as drainage and water/wastewater systems.
Performs a variety of engineering tasks, including development of roadway geometry, signing, pavement marking, drainage and maintenance of traffic plans Perform 3D Modeling using ORD and civil 3D design softwares Prepare estimated quantity calculations and cost estimates Preparation of engineering documents, plans, and specifications for contractors to build from.
Assist in the development of project design and construction schedules Perform site visits to support the field engineering and design process Prepare design alternative evaluation studies and technical reports.
Participation in public involvement, public meetings, networking and client interface.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering (transportation focus is a plus) Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification, preferred Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is preferred Proficient with Microsoft software, to include Word and Excel This position may require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more About Tetra Tech
