**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Shift:** 12-hour Day/Night Rotate + Call, First to Float, Every 3rd weekend, every 3rd holiday
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NRP
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Medsurg/Peds
- Ability to titrate drips
**Job Description:**
- ****Must have an account created/registered to run relevant studies prior to submitting a candidate****
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Clinical Involvement is not included
- Have experience in Medsurg/Peds & L&D
- Number of L&D Beds: 4
- Number of Postpartum beds: 6
- Separate triage beds: 1
- C-sections are done in the OR
- Follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios: 1:1 when being induced, 1:2 postpartum
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients include OB: Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Hyperbilirubinemia, Preterm labor, Triage
- Preferred skills include L&D, Medsurg/Peds experience, and critical access experience
- Previous travel experience is not required
- RNs are required to titrate drips, including OB-Pitocin, ICU-Cardiac drips, Heparin, and sedation drugs
- Charge Nurse on each shift; may take assignments if necessary but typically not
- OB/Neonatologist and Anesthesia are on-call 24/7, not in-house
- RT Equipment includes Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High flow, Airvo; RNs troubleshoot
- RNs monitor tele; HUC is also trained; RNs are required to read their own strips, with ICU and CN assistance if needed
- Tele monitors are Phillips
- 1 Nurse Aid available from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- EFM System: GE
- Shifts & Scheduling: 7 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; 7 p.m.-7:30 a.m. with scheduler handling the schedule
- Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend unless looking for a straight weekend position
- Holiday Requirements: Every third holiday
- Floating Requirements: Nurses float to Med Surg Peds when OB is slow
- Call or standby requirement with a 1-hour response time
- No specific dress code, can wear any color
- One 12-hour shift of unit/department-specific orientation
- Attributes for success include communication, motivation, and approachability
- Radius Rule: 50 miles, no full-time, part-time, or PRN with affiliated facilities
- RTO needed upfront and will not be approved after submissions
- Cancellation Policy: Up to 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- Charting System: EPIC
