Job Title: Surgical Tech Job Specialty: Operating Room Tech Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hours, Days, Monday through Friday, 0700-1530 Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Licensed Surgical Tech Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience in general cases, c-sections, total joint- knee and hip, OBGYN Job Description: - COVID vaccine required.
- Participate in a unit with 3 suites handling 2-10 cases per day.
- Work under the guidance of a Charge Nurse/House Supervisor.
- Call requirements include one weeknight per week (1530-0700) and one weekend per month (Friday 1530-Monday 0700).
- Mandatory call/standby requirement with a 30-minute call response time.
- May require floating during surgical capacity as needed.
- Scrub color/dress code will be provided.
- Complete unit/department-specific orientation.
- Familiarity with the Cerner charting system is preferred.
- Care setting is acute; experience in a trauma level environment is beneficial.
- Participate in rotation for holiday call requirements.
- Orientation consists of 12 hours.
