Trial Attorney Long Island Office (4-7 Years of Experience) An exciting opportunity is available for attorneys to join a highly respected defense team in Long Island.
The team specializes in defending high-exposure cases and has earned a reputation for employing creative and vigorous defense strategies.
This role offers a chance to work on complex cases across a range of practice areas, including Premises Liability, Catastrophic Injury, Wrongful Death, New York Labor Law and Construction, Maritime, Products Liability, and Transportation and Trucking.
Cases are handled in both State and Federal Courts.
The team often steps in as monitoring counsel retained by excess insurers, appellate counsel, or trial counsel, providing a unique environment to develop specialized litigation skills.
Attorneys with 4 to 7 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the firm for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Manage an individual caseload from inception through trial (Trial experience is a plus but not required) Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery Take and defend depositions of party and non-party witnesses Draft and argue discovery and dispositive motions Collaborate with the team on creative legal strategies and case development Ideal Candidates Will Have: Strong writing, communication, analytical, and creative thinking skills Experience defending cases in areas such as Premises Liability, Catastrophic Injury, and New York Labor Law A JD from an accredited law school Admission to practice in NY (Admission to federal courts in NY is preferred; additional jurisdictions a plus) Compensation and Benefits: Salary range: $110,000 - $160,000, depending on experience Flexible hybrid work model Competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401k matching This role offers significant potential for development and advancement, with pathways to leadership for the right candidate.
